Broadband steady growth in Europe.
London, December
13th 2004- Throughout Europe , the number of broadband
access lines has increased from 29.84 million at the
end of Q2 2004 to 32.79 million at the end of September
2004.
The report
- European Broadband Statistics Q3 2004 Report - is
based on extensive research conducted with 109 operators
featured across 36 European Countries
During the
third quarter of 2004, people in countries like Poland
and Czech Republic have shown a great interest toward
broadband. For instance, Poland has registered the
fastest growing broadband market in Europe at 64.07%
in the third quarter of 2004. During the same period,
Denmark and the Austria registered the lowest broadband
growth with 2.86 and 3.44 respectively.
In absolute
terms, Germany with 550,000, France with 521,000 and
the UK with 447,846 new broadband subscribers were
the top three nations in our European net addition
matrix.
