At the end
of March 2003, the number of broadband subscribers
across the world rose to 68 million with a 13% growth
over the previous quarter.
Asia-Pacific
with more than 24 million subscribers and 40 percent
of world market is the biggest broadband region in
the world.
Americas with over 25 million subscribers and 37 percent
world market is the second largest market for broadband
followed by Europe and Middle East-Africa. Europe
with 15.4 million subscribers and Middle-East Africa
with 0.223 million subscribers are in the third and
fourth positions.
