At the end
of March 2005, the number of broadband subscribers
across the world rose to 161.2 million with a 10%
growth over the previous quarter.
Asia-Pacific
with more than 60 million subscribers and 38 percent
of world market is the biggest broadband region in
the world.
Europe with over 48 million subscribers and 31 percent
world market is the second largest market for broadband
followed by Americas and Middle East-Africa. Europe
with 48 and Middle-East Africa with 1.45 million are
